Suvi Sauna offers traditional wood-fired and electric mobile saunas. We're currently based at Clevedon Marine Lake and The Pickle Factory in Easton, Bristol, with summer appearances at festivals and events.

Swimwear

Two towels (one to sit on in the sauna, one to dry off)

A water bottle (we have drinking water)

Flip-flops or sandals (optional)

At Suvi Clevedon and Suvi Bristol we do not run clothing-optional sessions, so please bring swimwear.

Sessions are 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Currently we only offer 30 minute sessions at Suvi Clevedon on weekdays.

Arrive 5 minutes before your session so you have time to get changed and receive a brief introduction.

Yes — we have individual changing rooms at both locations.

• Suvi Clevedon: No on-site shower, but there is a cold public shower at the far end of Marine Lake, located on the upper promenade above the children's splash pool (near the Community Boat Store).
• Suvi Bristol: Yes – we have an on-site cold shower.

Yes — there are toilets at both Suvi Clevedon and Suvi Bristol.

• Suvi Clevedon: There's a paid car park on site directly next to us. An additional council-run paid car park is located nearby and some free on-street parking is available further away. Bike racks are also on-site next to The Salthouse Pub.
• Suvi Bristol: Free on-street parking is available in the surrounding area, though it can be limited. Bike racks are available on-site.

Ages 8 and above are welcome to use the saunas at Suvi Clevedon and Suvi Bristol. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Yes! Dogs are welcome at our sites but it is important they are well behaved and tied securely, they may not run loose.

A sauna host will be present at all times but items are left at your own risk. At Suvi Clevedon we have small lockers for valuables.

We maintain temperatures between 80 and 100 degrees in all of our saunas.

Both. The sauna at Clevedon Marine Lake is wood-fired, and the sauna at The Pickle Factory in Bristol is electric.

• Suvi Clevedon: No – swimmers and dippers use Clevedon Marine Lake itself.
• Suvi Bristol: Yes – we have 3 cold plunges set up with a chiller, pump and filter system. Getting down to 8 degrees.

We have a powerful pump and double filter system that filters out any debris and particles. We use a specialised UV-light system to sanitise the water without the need for any chemicals. The plunges are emptied and deep cleaned as required.

Most people move between the heat and the cold water several times across a session, resting in between. Go at your own pace, listen to your body, drink water, and leave the sauna if you feel uncomfortable. Your host is on hand if you have any questions.

Cold water and open water carry risks, so enter gradually, stay within your own limits and never dip alone if you're unsure. At Suvi Clevedon you are swimming in an open, tidal lake that we do not lifeguard. If you have any health conditions, or you're pregnant, please check with your doctor before using a sauna or cold water.

Yes – you can reschedule or cancel your appointment yourself if you do it at least 24 hours in advance. Less than 24 hours' notice is non-refundable and non-reschedulable.

Yes – you can book a private hire through our booking page. Here you can book out the whole sauna or half (at Suvi Clevedon) for your group. We have options for groups of 8, 10 or 18 people.

Yes, we offer memberships for both Suvi Clevedon and Suvi Bristol.

We're open 7 days a week, with a capacity of 18 people per hour. Current opening hours are shown on our booking page.

Yes – the lake sits right beside the sauna and most people alternate between the heat and a dip. It's open water, so please swim within your limits and at your own risk.

No – Suvi Bristol is electric. Our wood-fired sauna is at Clevedon.
