A wood-fired sauna at The Riverside Inn

The Ross-on-Wye sauna is wood-fired and staffed by a host, who tends the stove and pours water on the stones. It's a two-sided sauna with 10 seats on each side, for up to 20 people, and we keep it between 70 and 100 degrees.

The Riverside Inn is a separate business. The sauna sits in its garden, and sessions last 60 minutes.

Cold plunges in Ross-on-Wye

We have two cold plunges at 8 degrees, with filtered water.

Under-16s must not use the cold plunges.

The River Wye

The River Wye is about 20 metres away across parkland. It isn't part of our service: we don't supervise or lifeguard it, and our staff can't give advice about swimming there.

If you do go in, it's your own decision and risk. Only swim if you're experienced and well, never alone, and never after drinking. Standing outside is also a good way to cool down.
