Suvi Sauna Clevedon is our 18-person wood-fired sauna beside Clevedon Marine Lake, next to the Salthouse Bar and Restaurant. Come for hot sauna, cold water in the lake and views across the Severn Estuary.

A wood-fired sauna by the lake
The Clevedon sauna is traditional wood-fired, with a window looking out over the water. We keep our saunas between 80 and 100 degrees, with löyly (steam) from water poured onto the hot stones. A sauna host is on site for every session to keep the fire going and welcome you in.
The sauna has a capacity of 18 people per hour, so sessions are shared unless you book a private hire.
Sauna and cold water at Clevedon Marine Lake
Clevedon Marine Lake is a free, tidal saltwater lake used year-round by swimmers and dippers, and it sits right beside us. Most people alternate between the heat of the sauna and a dip in the lake, then back again. There are no cold plunges at Clevedon — the lake is the cold water.
Swim within your limits and at your own risk; the lake is open water and not lifeguarded by us.
What to expect on your visit
- Where: Beside Clevedon Marine Lake on Salthouse Road.
- Sauna: 18-person wood-fired sauna.
- Cold water: Swimmers and dippers use Clevedon Marine Lake itself.
- Sessions: 60-minute sessions, with 30-minute sessions on weekdays.
- Opening hours: Mon–Thu 9am–1pm and 4–9pm, Fri 9am–2pm and 4–9pm, Sat–Sun 9am–8pm.
- Changing: Individual changing rooms.
- Toilets: Toilets on site.
- Lockers: Small lockers for valuables.
- Shower: No on-site shower. A cold public shower is at the far end of Marine Lake.
- Parking: A paid car park sits directly next to us.
- Bikes: Bike racks are on site, next to The Salthouse Pub.
- Arrival: Arrive 5 minutes early to change and meet your host.
- Bring: Swimwear, two towels, a water bottle, and flip-flops or sandals if you like.
- Swimming: The lake is open water and is not lifeguarded by us, so swim within your limits.
